Turkiye has doubled this goal - Erdogan

Turkiye has doubled its emissions reduction target by 2030.

Axar.az reports that the President of the country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said this.

It was noted that in this context, carbon dioxide emissions are expected to decrease by 66.6 million tons by the end of the year. Turkiye has increased the share of renewable energy sources in total electricity to 55 percent, ranking 5th in Europe and 12th in the world.
