The US will try to prevent the conflict in the Gaza Strip from spreading to the region.
Axar.az reports that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this in a statement to journalists in the UAE.
"We have made it clear that we will support Israel so that what happened on October 7 does not happen again. At the same time, we have made it clear that we care about protecting the civilian population and ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches the region while carrying out these efforts," said Blinken.
The Secretary of State announced that, in addition to the tensions in the Gaza Strip, they are keeping in mind the processes that will take place in the coming days and have discussed these issues together with their Arab colleagues:
"What do we think about what happened in Gaza? How is this managed? Where does security come from? How will we start to rebuild and create? And more importantly, how can we achieve a just and lasting peace? We think of all of us. These questions should result in a state to be established for the Palestinians."
