A US warship has destroyed several UAVs that attacked merchant ships in the Red Sea.

Axar.az reports that the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) released information about this.

"Four attacks were organized on three separate merchant ships operating in international waters south of the Red Sea. These three ships are connected to 14 different countries," the information stated.

One of the American officials told "Fox News" that in the north of the Bab-al-Mandab strait, the US military ship "Carney" shot down 3 UAVs headed towards it.

According to him, the UAVs were launched from one of the districts controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.

It should be noted that yesterday the Pentagon released information about the attack on "Carney" and commercial ships.
