The British government has imposed sanctions against 5 more Iranian officials for their roles in enforcing the mandatory hijab rules.
Axar.az reports that the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs released information about this.
The name of the general director of the Tehran metro, Masoud Durusti, is among those who have been sanctioned.
Sanctions were also imposed on Ali Salehi, the Chief Prosecutor of Tehran, Ali Akbar Javidan, the police commander of Hormuzgan Province, Hasan Mofahami Shahreshtani, the police commander of Mazandara, and Alirza Adyani, the head of the Ideological-political organization of the country's police commander.
It was reported that the mentioned persons were sanctioned for their participation in the compulsory hijab application to girls and women.
