It is forbidden to give Turkish names in Tehran

It is forbidden to give Turkish names to workplaces, including companies, shops, restaurants and other public places in Tehran.

Axar.az reports that Colonel Nadir Moradi, head of the Public Places Control Division of the Tehran Police, said this in a statement.

"According to the previous order, the use of Turkish names in the capital is prohibited and must be followed. It is possible to use Turkish names in provinces where Turks live," he said.

It should be noted that restrictions on the use of Turkish names are also applied in the provinces of Azerbaijan.
