Turkey names new presidential adviser

Turkey has named Adnan Tanriverdi, a retired brigadier general, the new adviser for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, CNN Turk reported Aug. 17.

Tanriverdi became a brigadier general in Turkish Armed Forces in 1992 and resigned in 1999.

He is also founder of the SADAT AS International Defense Consulting.
