The operation of two reactors at the "Chinon" nuclear power plant (NPP) located in the west of France has been stopped.

Axar.az reports that the country's Nuclear Safety Department has released information about this.

"As a result of the fire, the loss of the main external power supply of the number three reactor caused the reactor to stop automatically. After the fire was extinguished, the neighboring fourth reactor was also temporarily stopped to collect the water used. This was done to prevent its overflow and water entering the environment", - the information said. is mentioned.
