Indonesia refused to buy 12 Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets from Qatar for $790 million due to the intention of the authorities to modernize the aircraft in service.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Reuters.

The representative of the Ministry of Defense of Indonesia also said that the purchase of "Miraj" fighters will not take place and has already been cancelled:

"That is, the contract is not valid."
