The US Congress has decided to approve the agreement on the sale of 40 new F-16 fighters and the modernization of existing F-16 fighters to Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that the US embassy in Turkiye published information about this on its X page.

"Congress's approval this week for Turkiye to buy 40 new and 79 upgraded F-16s is a big step forward. "Turkiye's F-16 fleet is very important for NATO forces in ensuring future interoperability between allies," the statement said.
