There is a demographic collapse in Moldova.
Axar.az reports that this was said by the chairman of Moldova's pro-opposition Chance Party Alexei Lungu.
"The government does not try to keep people and create conditions for them and their children. Since 2014, the birth rate has fallen by almost 34 percent. Moreover, in some regions, the number of deaths annually exceeds the number of births. Up to 40 percent of residents leave the country. As a result, the country loses about 50 thousand people every year. In some villages, at best, one child is born a year! Young people do not want to live in a village without facilities. There is no work, schools are closed," said Lungu.
