Attempts to take over Donbas and Novorossiya from Russia, which were re-integrated into the Russian Federation according to the results of the referendums, will lead to a global conflict.

Axar.az reports that Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said this in his statement to journalists.

Medvedev also responded to Western calls aimed at preventing Russia from winning the war:

"What does it mean not to allow victory? To buy from Russia our territories included in the Constitution of the Russian Federation as a result of the referendum and our newly annexed lands, our federal subjects that returned to Russia? It is clear that this is a global catastrophe, this is a real, full-fledged Third World War," Medvedev said.
