EU intend to collect 1.5 billion dollars for Ukraine

European countries intend to collect 1.5 billion dollars for a contingency plan for the delivery of ammunition to Ukraine.

Axar.az informs that "The Financial Times" reported on this.

According to the publication, the Czech Republic took the initiative to urgently provide Ukraine with artillery shells to strengthen its defence line.

"Prague needs financial contributions from national governments as the EU capitals are at loggerheads over a proposal to add 5 billion euros to the European Peace Fund, the main mechanism for financing the supply of arms to Kyiv. Some EU members have already contributed."
