Statement from the CSTO regarding Armenia

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) recognizes only the territory within the borders of Armenia as the sovereign territory of this country.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"Area of responsibility" is an extremely complex term. By raising this issue, Yerevan officials want to draw attention to the situation in the country rather than a concrete answer. We say once again that according to the 2010 agreement, the "zone of responsibility" of the organization is the territory limited by the sovereign borders of any of the member states," the statement said.
