Russia demanded a meeting of the UN Security Council

The UN Security Council will hold an open meeting on April 2 at the request of Russia regarding Israel's attack on Iran's diplomatic facility in Syria.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Dmitry Polyansky, the first deputy of Russia's permanent representative to the UN.

"After Israel attacked Iran's consulate in Damascus, Iranians appealed to the UN Security Council to condemn this action. As a follow-up to the letter of the Iranians, we asked for an open meeting of the UN Security Council. The meeting is scheduled for April 2 at 15:00 New York time," he said.

It should be noted that two generals, 5 officers and diplomats of the IRGC were killed yesterday as a result of Israel's attack on Iran's consulate in Damascus.
