23-hour evacuation in Antalya has ended

The evacuation of the citizens who remained in the cabins as a result of the ropeway accident in Antalya province of Turkiye has been completed.

Axar.az reports that 543 search and rescue teams from various Turkish agencies, 80 climbers, one military cargo plane, seven helicopters, 108 special vehicles, six ambulances, and a large number of drones were sent to the region for the 23-hour evacuation. was involved.

The injured were taken to hospitals by special helicopters.

Turkiye's Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunch said that the investigation into the incident has been started, and it has been decided to detain 13 people, including the people responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ropeway.

It should be recalled that on April 12, in the Konyaaltı region of Antalya province of TurkiyeRope, one of the cabins of the cableway fell into a rocky area as a result of one of the masts of the cableway falling. One person was killed and ten people were injured during the incident.
