Turkiye calls on Iranian officials and Western countries that have influence on Israel to end tensions.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye.

It was reported that before Iran's attack on Israel, Tehran and Washington communicated through Ankara:

"Before the incident, we contacted Iranian and US officials and urged them to exercise restraint. "Turkiye warned the parties that the war waged by Israel in the Gaza Strip carries the risk of expansion and escalation."
