Floods in Tanzania: 58 dead

At least 58 people have died as a result of heavy rains in Tanzania this month.

Axar.az reports that Mobhare Matinyi, representative of the Tanzanian government, said this at the briefing.

"From April 1 to April 14, 58 people died as a result of torrential rains that caused floods," a government official said, adding that more than 10,000 houses and 76,600 farms were damaged.

The floods have damaged the coastal areas of Tanzania the most.
