There was a telephone conversation between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Axar.az informs that Turkish media reported on this.
In the telephone conversation, the current situation in the region after Iran's retaliatory attack against Israel was discussed.
Fidan drew attention to Turkiye's concern about the possibility of expansion and spread of the crisis in the region.
The Turkish Foreign Minister pointed out that since the beginning of the crisis in Gaza, his country has repeatedly stated that it carries the risk of turning into a regional conflict.
Stating that the war in Gaza has stopped at the root of the problem, Minister Fidan reminded that a cease-fire should be declared urgently and humanitarian aid should be delivered to Gaza without interruption, otherwise the crisis will continue to grow.
He said that in order to prevent the escalation of tensions, the countries that have influence on Israel should send the most correct messages.
