The US protects Israel from strikes, but what about Ukraine?

We provided Ukraine with air defense capabilities. Unfortunately, we are unable to do so at this time.

Axar.az reports that this was said by John Kirby, the White House's strategic communications coordinator, in response to a question about why the United States did not directly repulse missile attacks on Ukraine.

"I was waiting for this question. Different conflicts, different airspace, different threat landscape," Kirby said.

He recalled that from the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, the head of the White House, Joe Biden, made it clear that the United States did not intend to get involved in the conflict in a "combat role".

It should be noted that certain questions have arisen about why the US army, which participated in repelling the anti-aircraft and missile attacks on Israel, did not take part in the Ukrainian conflict.
