The Ukrainian mayor died in the battle

The mayor of Lebedin, Sumy region, Alexander Baklikov, who joined the Ukrainian army in the fall of 2022, died while performing a combat mission.

Axar.az reports that Yuri Bova, the mayor of Trostyanets city, wrote this on his Facebook page.

"Ukraine has lost a hero and a patriot. I still can't believe that my colleague, my friend, the head of Lebedin, Sumy province, Alexander Baklikov died at the front.

The car he was in was shot by Russians with machine guns. He died on the spot. Baklikov put himself in front of the blow and protected his wounded comrade.
