On April 22, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, met with the Minister of Defense of this country, Irakli Chikovani.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

It was reported that at the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of strategic partnership and friendly relations between the two countries. The positive dynamics of high-level visits were noted.

The Minister of Defense confirmed once again that Georgia is ready to contribute to the process of establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

The prospects of the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense were discussed at the meeting. Attention was paid to joint participation in international exercises and cooperation in the field of military education.

Azerbaijan's military attaché in Georgia, Colonel Fuad Ibrahimov, also participated in the meeting.
