The capture of Chasov Yar by the Russians will turn it into a springboard for attacks in other directions.

Axar.az reports that the CBS channel reported on this.

"If Russia can take control of the city, it will become a springboard for attacks on several other cities - Konstantinovka and Drujkovka in the west, as well as larger attacks on Kramatorsk and Slavyansk in the north," the report said.

It was reported that these settlements form the backbone of Ukrainian defense in the Donetsk region:

"The capture of the city of Chasov Yar will open a direct way for Russian forces to advance towards the strongholds in Donbas."
