Military helicopter crashes: 9 dead

A military helicopter crashed south of Bolivar, Colombia.

Axar.az reports that the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, informed about this on his X page.

He said that the incident happened during the operation against the country's biggest drug cartel.

Thus, the helicopter with the soldiers was providing supplies to the government troops participating in the operation against the "Gulf Clan" drug cartel. As a result of the accident, all 9 crew members on the helicopter died.

It should be noted that the country's largest drug cartel, the "Gulf Clan", is actively involved in the internal armed conflict in Colombia that has been going on for many years.
