Flight tests of the new LRAM long-range missile have begun in the United States.

Axar.az informs that the US media reported on this.

According to information, the new missile was developed based on an unknown model in the arsenal of the US Air Force:

"This missile will allow hitting targets moving on land and in water at a distance of 280 km. This is more than Viper helicopters can achieve with existing air-to-surface missiles. Currently, AH-1Z Viper helicopters are equipped with AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-ground missiles with a range of approximately 11 km and AGM-179 air-to-ground missiles with a range of up to 8 km. The first combat launch of the missile is planned for 2025," the information stated.
