President Vladimir Putin proposed to re-appoint Mikhail Mishustin as prime minister.
Axar.az reports that Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the Russian State Duma, wrote this on the Telegram channel.
Volodin said that the prime ministerial candidate will first make a speech, answer the questions of the deputies, and then a vote will be held.
The plenary session will be held at 14:00 (15:00 Baku time).
According to the law, after the approval of the State Duma, the president appoints the head of the government. The new prime minister must submit his proposals regarding the structure of federal executive power bodies to the head of state within one week, and the candidates for the positions of deputy prime ministers and federal ministers (except power structures and MFA) for approval by the State Duma within two weeks. If deputies approve, the president must approve all appointments. The heads of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are appointed by the president after consultation with the Federation Council.
