Joe Biden's administration has reached an agreement with Israeli authorities not to significantly expand operations in Rafah until the visit of national security adviser Jake Sullivan.

It should be noted that Sullivan plans to visit Israel and Saudi Arabia this weekend against the background of increasing tensions in the region.
