Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held an emergency meeting with the leadership of Turkish special services after the statement of the leader of Turkish nationalists, Devlet Bakhchali, about the possibility of a coup d'état. I reminded that in 2016 there was a large-scale coup d'état attempt in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian political scientist Sergey Markov.

"They tried to kill President Erdogan. The Turkish authorities have accused Fethullah Gullen, who was in the United States all this time, of attempting a coup d'état. The main force behind the coup was the US-trained Turkish military. After that, the US and EU media supported the coup attempt. At that time, Russia supported Ankara by providing information that could save the life of Turkish President Erdogan," he said.
