The provision of long-range weapons to Ukraine, capable of striking Russian military targets, is not an escalation of the conflict.

Axar.az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron made this statement.

"We believe we should allow them to neutralize military targets from where missiles are launched, primarily those used to carry out attacks on Ukraine. However, they should not have the right to strike other targets in Russia, especially civilian or other military targets," Macron said.

It should be noted that today, European Union defense ministers are discussing the possibility of lifting restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western weapons to strike targets within Russian territory.
