Biden's call made Xi Jinping change his decision

Chinese leader Xi Jinping was ready to provide weapons to Russia two years ago, but after a phone call from US President Joe Biden, he refrained from doing so.

Axar.az informs that "The Washington Post" reported information from sources in the Washington administration.

According to the information, Biden warned Xi Jinping in March 2022 that if China supplied arms to Moscow, the US would take retaliatory action.

It is alleged that the Chinese leader instructed former Deputy Prime Minister Liu He (2018-2023) to oversee clandestine military assistance to Russia:

"At the same time, China sent peace proposals to Ukraine and its European allies.
