Kazakhstan bans LGBT propaganda

The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan will consider a public petition against LGBT propaganda.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan has released information about this.

"The application review period is up to 40 working days from the day of its registration. A working group will be created to consider this issue, including representatives of state institutions and public associations," the information says.

It should be noted that a petition against open and secret LGBT propaganda in Kazakhstan was published on the official "E-Petition.kz" portal. The petition has collected 50,000 signatures required for consideration by the authorities.

Although same-sex marriage is currently banned in Kazakhstan, there is no legal ban on LGBT propaganda.
