In order to prevent the National Unity Party from gaining a majority, the candidates from the "Together for the Republic" presidential coalition and the New People's Front left-wing bloc withdrew their candidacies.

Axar.az reports that "Le Monde" published information about this.

"185 candidates refused the elections. 121 people from the left and 60 people from the presidential coalition and other parties refused to participate in the second round," the information stated.

It was reported that 18 hours before the elections, the parties should submit the list of candidates who will participate in the second round.

It should be noted that in the first round of the parliamentary elections held in France, the right-wing National Unity Party won.

The second round of elections will be held on July 7.
