Axar.az reports that this was caused by the fans of the English national team mocking their German counterparts.

England fans mocked the home fans for Germany's suspension, chanting insults and chanting in support of Spain. This led to fans throwing plastic containers at each other, resulting in a fight. The police had to intervene in the incident.

It should be noted that the Spanish team defeated Germany with a score of 2:1 and qualified for the semi-finals.
