The results of the presidential election in Iran confirmed

The Council of Guardians of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran approved the results of the presidential elections.

Axar.az reports with reference to IRNA that council representative Hadi Tahan Nazif said that the verification of ballots in the second round of the presidential elections has been completed.

"The results are confirmed," he said.

None of the participants in the second round complained.

The results of the elections will be submitted to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for approval.

It should be noted that in the second round of the presidential elections held on July 5, Azerbaijani Turk, reformer Masud Pezeshkian was elected president, defeating his opponent Said Jalili.
