Large-scale wildfires have forced thousands of residents to flee their homes in the western Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.

Axar.az reports that the CTV channel reported on this.

It was reported that 4,700 residents of Jasper city, located in the territory of the national nature reserve of the same name, received an evacuation order. Citizens living in the Williams Lake region of British Columbia were also ordered to evacuate their homes.

Losses are not reported.

It is noted that the fires were caused by strong heat and lightning.
