An extraordinary session of the UN SC will be held

Iran has demanded an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council (SC) regarding the murder of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, as well as Israel's attacks on Beirut.

Axar.az reports that for this purpose, a letter was addressed to the country (Russia) chairing the UN Security Council.

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting at the request of Iran.

This was reported by Dmitry Polyansky, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the world organization.

The meeting will start at 00:00 on August 1, Baku time.
