Statement from the EU regarding the murder of Haniyeh

The European Union (EU) believes that escalation in the Middle East does not benefit anyone.

Axar.az reports that Peter Stano, the representative of the EU's Foreign Policy Service, said this while commenting on the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, in Tehran.

"The EU takes a principled position and supports the rule of law in the field of the international criminal court," he said.
