The parliaments of Russia and Georgia still do not communicate with each other, but the Russian authorities are ready for dialogue if the Georgian side wishes.
Axar.az reports that this was said by the Chairman of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko.
"Unfortunately, there are no contacts yet, of course, this is not our fault, difficult political processes are going on in Georgia, many things are being reconsidered. If Georgia is interested in dialogue, we are ready right now," Matviyenko said.
It should be recalled that after the August 2008 war, Russia unilaterally recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and Tbilisi broke diplomatic relations with Moscow in response.
