The road from Georgia to Russia through the Yukhari Lars international checkpoint will be temporarily closed to all types of motor vehicles.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the customs attaché of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, Vaan Akopyan.

It was reported that the customs checkpoint will be closed from 01:00 to 10:00 on August 6 due to the technical works carried out on the Georgian side.

After the works are completed, the checkpoint on the Georgian side will be restored.

It should be noted that the road through Upper Lars is currently the only land road connecting Armenia with Russia.
