Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Khamenei to respond calmly to the killing of the political leader of Hamas in Tehran and not to target Israeli civilian objects.

Axar.az reports that Putin's message was conveyed to Khamenei by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu.
