We need Turkiye's help to stop the illegal sale of US technology to Russia.

Axar.az informs that Matthew Axelrod, assistant secretary of commerce of the United States, said these words in an interview to "Financial Times".

He noted that Washington's main demand from Turkiye is to prevent the supply of US-origin chips and other parts to Russia.

"If Turkiye does not impose restrictions on the export of US-origin chips to Russia, which are of vital importance for Moscow's war machine, we will have no choice but to retaliate," he stressed.

Axelrod also added that he had met with Turkish officials in Ankara and Istanbul on this issue.
