22 on board as Mi-8 helicopter vanishes in Kamchatka

A Mi-8 helicopter has gone off radar in the Kamchatka region of Russia.

Axar.az reports that this information has been released by the Russian media.

It was reported that the helicopter, belonging to the "Vityaz Aero" company and headed towards the Nikolayevka settlement in the Yelizovo district, disappeared a few minutes later.

According to the press service of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, communication with the helicopter was lost at 07:15 Moscow time:

"Preliminary information indicates that there are 22 people on board: three crew members and 19 passengers. Another Mi-8 helicopter has taken off to search for the missing aircraft."
