In 2011, the U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6, which killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, is preparing for a mission to assist Taiwan during a military confrontation with China.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by the Financial Times, citing sources.

SEAL Team 6 is the most elite first-tier unit in the U.S. military. Its operations are kept highly confidential, so sources did not provide details about the team's mission in Taiwan, the report stated.

It was noted that the team has been planning and preparing for the Taiwan conflict at its headquarters in Virginia for over a year.
