Germany's "Typhoon" (Eurofighter) fighters participating in NATO's air patrol mission in the Baltic Sea zone were taken to the air by Russian fighters.

Axar.az reports that this is stated in the information of the German Air Force.

"Today, because Russian aircraft were flying without a flight plan and transponder signal, our rapid response forces were alerted from the Laage air base and the Latvian Lievarde airfield," the information states.

It was reported that the German fighters escorted the Tu-142 and Su-30 aircraft belonging to the Russian Air Force in the Baltic sky.

It should be noted that earlier the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that all flights of its military aviation are carried out by international rules regarding the use of airspace.
