The Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 80,000 soldiers during the war, while 400,000 people have been injured.

Axar.az reports that this information was published by the "Wall Street Journal" based on a source from the U.S. government.

According to the report, 200,000 Russian soldiers have died in the war, and 500,000 have been injured.

"Due to Ukraine's population being four times smaller, it will be more difficult to cope with such losses. However, in the long term, the consequences will be devastating for both countries, which already had demographic problems before the war," the report states.

The publication noted that one of Putin's motivations for starting the war was to increase Russia's population at the expense of Ukrainians.
