Turkiye sees BRICS as alternative economic platform

Turkiye views BRICS as an alternative economic platform.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in an interview with Anadolu Agency.

"We see BRICS as an alternative economic platform. If our economic integration with the EU had been successful, perhaps we would not be in such a tense search on many issues," he said.

It should be noted that Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, has stated that Turkiye has applied for full membership in BRICS and that this application will be considered.
