On the night of September 27, Russian forces carried out drone strikes on Ukrainian territory near Kiliya, close to the border with Romania. In response, Romania deployed fighter jets to monitor the situation.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by the Romanian Ministry of Defense's press service.

It was reported that two Romanian and two Spanish F-16 and F-18 fighter jets took off from bases 86 and 57 to monitor the situation: "Around 3:00 AM, radar data indicated that one of the drones might briefly cross into Romanian airspace. The country's defense management is continuing the search for the drone, but no traces have been found in the area."
