At least 43 people have died during Hurricane Helen in the United States.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by foreign media.

The majority of the fatalities were recorded in the states of South Carolina and Georgia. Deaths have also been reported in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Currently, residents are being evacuated from the emergency zone.

It should be noted that the hurricane, which began on September 26, is still ongoing, with wind speeds reaching 225 km/h.
