Armenia and Iran continue to discuss the technical aspects of building a second bridge over the Araz River.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure to "Sputnik Armenia."

"Technical issues regarding the construction of a second bridge over the Araz River between Armenia and Iran are being discussed," the ministry noted.

It was reported in May that a working group was established to implement this project.

It is worth noting that work on planning the new bridge over the Araz River began at the end of 2023. In Yerevan, they do not rule out the possibility of building it parallel to the existing bridge, which was constructed in 1995.
