Finnish President Alexander Stubb will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the COP29 climate conference, which will be held in Baku this November.

Axar.az informs that Kirsti Narinen, Finland's ambassador to Azerbaijan and other countries of the South Caucasus, said this in a statement.

"The participation of our President at COP29 shows that climate issues, including the effects of climate change, mitigation and adaptation are of great importance to Finland. We will also send a group of experts and business delegation to the conference. We have a long tradition of participating in events held within the framework of the EU, and we try to achieve concrete results at such conferences. We want to contribute to the event and we are sure that we will be successful," he said.
