US backs Israel's self-defense rights

The U.S. supports Israel's right to self-defense.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin following a phone call with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

"We agreed on the need to dismantle attack infrastructure along the border to prevent Hezbollah from launching assaults similar to those on October 7," Austin stated.

He emphasized that a diplomatic solution is also necessary for civilians on both sides of the border to safely return to their homes.

It’s noted that last night, the Israeli army entered Lebanon, with official reports confirming the start of a local ground operation.
